Strawberry Jam - Jean

Ingredients:
500gms strawberries
150gms sugar
1/2 lemon (juiced)

Steps:
  1. Wash and dry the strawberries. Remove the stem, then roughly chop. 
  2. Add the strawberries, sugar and lemon juice to a saucepan. Cook on medium heat till the sugar dissolves while stirring for about 5-7 minutes.  
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and keep stirring till it comes to a rolling boil. 
  4. Reduce the heat to medium-low and mash the strawberries using a spoon, or use a hand blender to puree it. Continue boiling till it thickens for another 7-10 minutes. 
  5. Transfer to a clean jar and refrigerate.  
  6. ENJOY!
