Shrimp Burnt Chilli Garlic recipe on Mangy Kitchen


















Ingredients:
750 gms shrimp
3 thai red chillies 
1 large onion (cut in cubes and separated)
1 large capsicum (cut in cubes)
15-20 cashew nuts
5 garlic cloves (minced)
1 inch ginger (finely sliced)
1 tbsp oyster sauce
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp chili flakes
1 tbsp pepper
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp chili garlic sauce
1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
2 tbsp chili vinegar - adjust to taste
1 tsp corn starch
spring onions (garnish)


Steps:
  1. Marinate prawns with salt and pepper.
  2. In a wok, heat oil.
  3. Add minced garlic, chilis and cashew nuts. Fry till the garlic turns brown. 
  4. Add ginger, onion petals and capsicum. Saute till onions cook slightly.
  5. Add salt, pepper, Sriracha sauce and chili garlic sauce. Saute for a minute. 
  6. Add prawns and let it cook through.  
  7. Add sugar, chilli flakes, chili vinegar and soy sauce. Mix well.
  8.  Make a corn starch slurry and add to thicken the gravy to your desired consistency. 
  9. Garnish with spring onions.
