Mixed Veg Pulao - Oreen

Ingredients:
1 tbsp ghee
2 star anise
1 tsp pepper powder
2 cups basmati or sona masuri rice
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables 
4 cups hot water
1 tsp salt

Steps:
  1. In a non stick wok, heat ghee.
  2. Add star anise, rice, salt, pepper powder. Saute for 2 minutes. 
  3. Add hot water. Mix well. 
  4. Add frozen vegetables and cook covered on high heat for 7 minutes.
  5. Turn off the flame and keep covered for 5 more minutes then fluff the rice with a fork.
  6. ENJOY!
