Ingredients:
1 tbsp ghee
2 star anise
1 tsp pepper powder
2 cups basmati or sona masuri rice
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
4 cups hot water
1 tsp salt
Steps:
- In a non stick wok, heat ghee.
- Add star anise, rice, salt, pepper powder. Saute for 2 minutes.
- Add hot water. Mix well.
- Add frozen vegetables and cook covered on high heat for 7 minutes.
- Turn off the flame and keep covered for 5 more minutes then fluff the rice with a fork.
