Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup chana dal
1 large onion (sliced)
1 large tomato (chopped)
1 1/2" ginger (finely chopped)
5 cloves garlic (chopped)
1 green chilli (chopped)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp jeera seeds
salt to taste
vinegar to taste
2 tbsp ghee
To garnish:
2 tbsp coriander leaves
Steps:
- In a vessel, heat ghee.
- Add cumin seeds. When it splutters, add onions and tomatoes and fry till the onions turn pink.
- Add all the remaining ingredients with 3 cups of water and boil till the chana dal is cooked.
- To garnish, add coriander leaves and 1/2 tsp ghee and well.
